Chess clubs of Zagreb and the county 42

A chess club in Zagreb is a member association registered with the Croatian Chess Federation and, inside the city, with the Zagreb Chess Association, whose club list sorts the clubs into league sections. Most of them field one or more teams in the Centar league, whose rounds run from March into the autumn, and many also hold blitz, rapid or memorial tournaments of their own. Končar trains children and adults on fixed evenings at Fallerovo šetalište, Odra opens the community hall in Mala Mlaka on Tuesdays and Fridays, Maksimir plays a club blitz championship on Monday evenings, and Novi Zagreb runs a chess school and its own tournament series.

Past the city boundary the list follows the clubs of Zagreb County: Zaprešić and Ban Jelačić in Zaprešić, Velika Gorica and Polet in Buševec, Samobor, Sveta Nedelja, Jaska in Jastrebarsko, Dugo Selo, Rugvica, Ivanić in Ivanić-Grad, PIK Vrbovec, Jakovlje, Mladost Luka and Sloga Novoselec in Križ. Many clubs have no site of their own and are known from the federation register, the association lists and the league rounds; their entries give the latest round found and leave the meeting days blank.
